Absolutely! We boil our bagels in water sweetened with AGAVE, not honey, so most are 100% vegan! We also have several flavors of TOFU-based spreads. A few of our bagels do contain eggs or cheese so when in doubt, just ask!

We have friends and family who are gluten-sensitive too, so we definitely have options. You can order any sandwich on a bed of fresh greens instead of a bagel and enjoy it as a salad instead! ALSO, we've created an addictively delicious bagel made from rice & tapioca flour, without wheat or corn! *Naturally these are made in the same space as our other delicious bagels.

At Bagels On Southern Soil (B.O.S.S.) we are proud to be an Authentic Texas Bagelry™, where we have our own brand of bagels with flavors that are a little bigger and a little bolder, just like everything else Texans do. We use old-school ingredients and techniques to make bagels that are inspired by those from both New York and Montreal, but still uniquely our own. To those who may say, “Well, that’s not how we do it back East” we say simply, “Come and Taste It.” ;-)

Yep! At BOSS, we blend the classic taste and texture of New York bagels with the sweet, smokey flavors of bagels from Montreal, where wood-burning ovens like ours have been an essential part of bagel baking for over 100 years. Montreal bagels are more "tear & drag" than "slice & schmear" and arguably they're even... Well, let's not go there.
Erik & Katie Yeargan took over from Chef Brannon Soileau and his wife Christie in 2022, with plans to expand and build a legacy business for their five children.
Erik is a 4th generation native Texan who lived in Montreal for almost 20 years, so he took it as a real sign when he first visited BOSS and saw a painting of the famous Montreal bagelry where two of his sons worked for years as students. Katie is originally from the East Bay in Northern CA (but she got here as soon as she could. ;-) with decades of experience with family businesses & franchise building. Stay tuned for more on that!
